FROM THE QUOTE TO THE WORK ON SITE, KEEP EVERYTHING CLEAR
Project updates for trades and clients
Start with the work in the accepted quote and any accepted changes. Easy Chantier helps you see what has been done and choose what to share with your client. Published photos show the work in context, while purchase costs, recorded labour costs and margins stay in your private workspace. Before your next visit, check the agreed scope, review updates from site and decide what needs doing next. The person in charge decides when to publish progress and photos.
Start from the agreed scope
Review the work items in the accepted quote and any accepted variations before planning what comes next. If requirements change, clarify the change with the client and put it in writing before starting additional work. A template or site note helps you find your bearings; it does not replace a site survey or a written agreement.
Distinguish reported work from checked work
A team member can submit progress, a photo or an issue. The person in charge reviews this information, carries out the necessary checks and decides what can be published. This distinction prevents a site report from being presented as an approval that has already been given.
Plan a specific next action
A useful handover identifies the issue and the action needed: check a surface, confirm a supply, request a decision or prepare access to a room. If something is blocked, record what is missing and who can resolve it. Do not use an automatic score to summarise a decision that requires a professional check.
Keep your client informed as work progresses
Link each update to the relevant item in the accepted quote. A photo of a wall being prepared, for example, shows one stage of the painting work; it does not mean the whole room is finished. Check site updates before publishing. Your client sees the progress and photos you choose to share, and the prices on their documents. Your internal costs and margins remain private.
